    With extensive experience in environmental science and management, the Chaipattana Foundation, in collaboration with The King's Royally Initiated Laem Phak Bia Environmental Research and Development Project and the Faculty of Environment, Kasetsart University, together with supporting agencies, is proud to organize the 4^th International Conference on Environment, Livelihood, and Services: Sustainable Development towards Defending Global Change

 (ICELS 2024).

This conference aims to provide a platform for exchanging knowledge and experiences on environmental issues, with a focus on management measures for both current and future regional and global climate situations. The frequency and intensity of natural disasters worldwide, including storms, floods, typhoons, hurricanes, sandstorms, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, and droughts, have been increasing. One of the major contributors to these problems is the greenhouse effect resulting from the combustion of organic materials, such as agricultural wastes, forest fires, and fossil fuel burning.

These natural disasters have resulted in numerous losses and have had significant impacts on human livelihoods. Consequently, there is an increasing awareness among people about the potential disasters that may occur in the near future. The ICELS 2024 conference aims to bring together environmental scientists, engineers, policymakers, industrialists, entrepreneurs, and research students from around the world to share common interests, discuss environment-related topics, and address these pressing issues.
