About the conference

Objectives

To accommodate and motivate an exchange of academic knowledge and experiences, which lead to new ideas to manage the current and future environmental issues.

To establish academic networks and find solutions to deal with regional and global environmental problems.

 

Pattern of Conference

The conference will consist of special lectures from guest speakers, presentations of research results in lecture and poster formats, exhibitions, and field trips via an online meeting platform, broadcast from Bangkok, Thailand.

About our

Keynote Speakers

1.  Dr. Zhao Yuchi UNESCO : Keynote speaker 1: "Education for Sustainable Rural Development: A Conceptual Framework"

Dr. ZHAO Yuchi is the Executive Director of International Research and Training Centre for Rural Education under the auspices of UNESCO since 2023. He worked as a loaned expert in UNESCO Headquarters from April 2019 to October 2021, in the position as the coordinator of the UNESCO Prize for Girls' and Women's Education and the Coordinator of UNESCO-Hainan Airlines Funds-in-Trust Project. From 2006 to 2011, he took the role as the Executive Deputy Director for China-UK Southwest Basic Education Project (with a grant of 27 million Pounds), Ministry of Education, China. His research interests are education and international development, rural teachers' professional development and girls' and women's education.


2. Prof. Dr.Tim Wood : Keynote Speaker 2: “Sustainable Development: Secrets from a Surprising Source”

 

Dr. Timothy S. Wood is Professor Emeritus of Biological Sciences at Wright State University, Ohio, U.S.A. He graduated his bachelor and master degrees from University of Denver and Illinois Institute of Technology, respectively. He further obtained his PhD at University of Colorado, Boulder, USA in 1971. He is also now working as senior scientist at Bryo Technologies LLC, Dayton, Ohio. Dr. Timothy’s professional interests include biology of bryozoans, especially distribution, ecology, colony development, taxonomy, and biofouling control. His research also focuses on ecology of marine and freshwater communities, including biological monitoring of water quality. In 2016, Dr. Timothy was elected the President of International Bryozoology Association.


3. Prof. Dr. Robert Brian Shutes: Keynote speaker 3:  “Sustainable land use with climate change”


Robert Brian Shutes is Emeritus Professor of Ecotechnology at Middlesex University, London. He was Vice-Chair of the International Water Association (IWA) Specialist Group on ‘The use of Wetlands for Water Pollution Control’ (1996-2008). He has been a consultant and partner on projects in Asia for the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, European Union, UK and Singapore Government Departments and Agencies, and has organized and presented at workshops, seminars and conferences in Asian countries. He has also been a Visiting-Professor at universities in Asia.
